Education and Experience Requirement
Bachelor degree and ten years minimum experience in a production environment that produces high precision metal parts and products. Five years minimum sales and marketing experience of machining, fabrication, welding, stamping or similar contract manufacturing services of metal products. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent, preferred. Experience with Defense and/or Aerospace environment is a plus.

- Excellent understanding of metal processes.
- A record of successfully creating strategies that discover and expand new and existing customer relationships.
- Strong negotiations skills and ability to positively influence potential and existing customers.
- Demonstrable estimating and quoting skills that delivers results at required profit margins.
- Experience with building relationships with customers.
- Comfort level with the sales function of the company.
- Able to process numbers quickly in a fast-paced and/or stressful environment.
- Outstanding leadership and supervisory skills and the ability to motivate and work well with others.
- Patient, but tactfully persistent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
- Strong organization and management skills.
- Good knowledge of cost accounting and the economics of manufacturing.
- Transparency, integrity and honesty and has boundless energy
Minimum Job Requirements
- Physical- generally sedentary work. Proficient in use of computers and Microsoft office suite. Able to travel 25% of the time.
- Working Hours- fulltime (45+ hrs/week) employment.
- Personal Traits- Comfort with interacting with customers at all levels. Excellent communication abilities and ability to work well with customers, and all levels of the organization. Ability to multi-task with conscientious attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to take an organizational view to decision making, considering both operational and strategic objectives.
Level of Responsibility and Authority
Overall responsibility of Latitude Corp.’s business development and engineering activities ensuring orders are priced profitability. Authority to contact and work with existing and new customers to maintain or attain and accept new business. Authority to submit bid packages to customers, and sign contracts, NDA, and customer purchase orders. Authority to hire and fire employees within assigned department.
Job Duties
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategy for the company.
- Bring on new customers that align with the business model and fit the company’s profit objectives.
- Perform contract negotiations and approve customer contracts.
- Direct and review pricing policies, customer contracts and quotations.
- Working with manufacturing, determine if new parts/products are in keeping with the overall company strategy, a good fit, and whether there is sufficient capacity
- Ensure capacity and capability exist before submitting orders.
- Identify the best location for the manufacturing of new products using knowledge of capability and capacity.
- Propose new capabilities to allow for business growth.
- Develop and encourage the culture of the organization as initiated by the President.
- Monitor profitability of existing and new parts/products to ensure profit targets are met and modify future pricing or work with manufacturing to adjust.
- Work with President to determine price increases and negotiate increases, as required, with customers.
- Support the President in new business endeavors.
- Work with customer to develop effective solutions to their problems.
- Function as the overall customer contact.
- Ensure customer relations are maintained.
- Develop, manage and ensure the New Product Introduction process.
- Manage the engineering function and ensure business priorities are understood and met.
- Ensure technical and quality requirements are communicated to engineering, manufacturing and quality organizations.
- Ensure implementation of management systems designed to improve internal processes, new objectives and overall customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures associated with Business Development and Engineering.
- Ensure employees work safely.
- Approve employee hiring and firing.
- Develop and mentor employees.
- Ensure compliance of company policies and all State and Federal Laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate and foster legal and ethical standards for the company.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
