Essential Job Functions

  • Participate as a member of the Helpdesk to log and resolve calls for support of Information Systems users.
  • Assist in the administration and support of Network and Systems Management.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on network equipment, servers, computers, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
  • Assist in the support and administration of network cabling (install, terminate, and troubleshoot), telephone/voicemail systems, video conferencing, and multi-media audio visual equipment.
  • Research, analyze and test Information Systems solutions and assist with training end-users.
  • Maintain and develop documentation and procedures, sharing knowledge and effectively communicating with team members and management.
  • Assist with efficiency/cost reduction in the area of Information Systems.
  • Participate in department rotation on-call support.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office applications is required
  • Knowledge of networking principles and security protocols required
  • Experience with VMware and Active Directory preferred
  • Training/certification in scissor and boom lift operations is required (ability to access network connections for installation, troubleshooting and repair)

Education / Experience

  • Minimum Associate’s degree in computer/network support
  • Two-years of related experience and/or training; an equivalent combination of both experience and training will be considered in lieu of a degree
