Department overview:

The Market Intelligence Platform and Channels (PC) organization provides data technology and services supporting acquisition, ingestion, content management, mastering and distribution to power our business line and customer needs. Focus on platform scale to support business lines through a common data lifecycle that accelerates business value. The office strives to provide new insight to our customers through data discovery, research, and integrated access. In certain cases, the office will utilize capital investment on key initiatives to deliver immediate value or remediate high risk areas through structured programs. Maintains a focus on innovation to keep ahead of market trends and disruptive technologies.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will work on a long-term architecture and related initiatives concerning an internal data fabric – a internal layer on top of our existing data assets that allows users to consume data regardless of where it is managed within the organization. This is a very large initiative that requires high level design and planning across multiple concerns including data entitlements, data lineage and data loss prevention. Responsibilities include:

Work closely with senior management and the rest of the technical leadership to define the long-term architecture;

Work closely with the development teams and design solutions for technical problems;

Help with planning large technical initiatives;

Work together with product teams and help with product investigations, e.g., competing technologies.

Act as liaison to the enterprise architecture group and conduct architecture reviews with them as necessary;

Assist development teams with coding (PoCs as well as production code) on an ad-hoc basis

What We’re Looking For:

10+ years of technical experience, ideally in an individual contributor role or as an architect (no management experience required).

Hands on coding experience with a mainstream programming language (Python, Java, C# or C++). Extensive experience with a variety of languages preferred.

Cloud computing experience with at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS and GCP preferred)

Experience with big data systems and architecture.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Compensation and Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $103,800 – $206,350. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
