Grow your career! We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Inventory Specialist at our Minneapolis facility. Reporting to and partnering with the Supply Chain Manager, position will be hands-on and assist in managing warehouse functions, with a primary focus on inventory management, to ensure accurate and timely completion and delivery of product to customers. Ensure efficiency, cost effectiveness, accuracy, safety and quality control within the department. Must be pro-active, results-driven with strong leadership presence. (Eight-person department: Supply Chain Manager, Senior Inventory Specialist, (4) Shipping Clerks, Baler/Paper Handler and Company Driver)

  • Primary responsibility: As a critical element of the supply chain, provide effective/successful management of inventory combined with high level direction of warehouse and shipping operations; Manage and oversee physical inventory counts and reconciliation, ensuring inventory accuracy
  • Work closely with Purchasing Manager/Customer Service on outside inventory management
  • Complete receiving and verification of inbound materials to ensure inventory/costing accuracy
  • Assist with transfers of inventory between facilities
  • Work side-by-side with Supply Chain Manager on shipping and inventory responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse to meet service standards
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to plan and direct work activities and resources; requires ongoing coordination and/or team problem solving between departments or function to ensure work production and/or service quality
  • Identify/recommend process improvement changes
  • Estimate freight requirements in relation to the production schedule; Coordinate outgoing shipments with freight brokers
  • Manage organization of shipment staging area
  • Process reports

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 2-year Associate degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of ERP computer systems
  • Excellent computer skills; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Positive, persistent, hard-working, with strong commitment to success
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience; Experience in inventory management or control
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
