Job Description :

Research Associate or Associate Scientist

MatTek Life Sciences, the leading manufacturer of 3D human tissues, has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Research Associate / Associate Scientist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Culture cells used for internal R&D and/or contract studies

· Independently perform experiments & assays and analyze data under the direction of the Study Director

· Critically think about the experiment/assay being performed to fully understand the study objective

· Independently troubleshoot assays

· Maintain accurate records in the study notebook according to established SOPs

· Reports directly to the Study director

Required Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in biology or equivalent with 2+ years or Bachelor’s degree in Biology or equivalent with 5+ years of hands-on cell culture experience and aseptic technique

· Expertise in Molecular Biology (DNA/RNA isolation/quantification, qPCR); Biochemistry (ELISA/Multiplex cytokine analysis, Western Blot, etc.); Immunohistochemistry and Fluorescent Microscopy

· Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, able to perform the above tasks routinely and enjoy working in a team environment’
