Pay rate starts at $19.53, plus any applicable shift differential.

Join the team that gives the gift of life! Rhode Island Blood Center is currently seeking Mobile Phlebotomists to join our growing team! Work with healthy blood donors at mobile blood drives throughout RI and Southeastern MA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate proficiency and competency in all aspects of medical history, venipuncture and handling donor reactions, remaining constantly aware of donor/patient safety.
• Demonstrate proficiency in maintaining a two-bed set up.
• Twelve month average venipuncture success rate of 94% or above.
• Observe all safety/OSHA policies and FDA and AABB guidelines & regulations.
• Maintain professional conduct when representing the Rhode Island Blood Center and donor/patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures associated with the collection process including arm prep, labeling, mixing, accurate completion of Donor Registration Record.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and accurately complete specific paperwork associated with directed, autologous & therapeutic donors.
• Provide excellent customer service by acknowledging the donor, treating donors in a respectful manner, and striving to provide each donor with a positive and pleasant experience which would encourage his/her return.
• Perform all aspects of whole blood collection as required.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must be able to fluently speak, read, write, and comprehend English. Must be vaccinated against COVID 19.

Full time work schedules will include days, evenings, and weekends, for a total of 35-40 hours per week. Hours to be scheduled are between the hours of 6:30 am- 5:30 pm and every other weekend. Mileage is paid.
