Job Description :

Resource Waste Services of Epping is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic

The maintenance mechanic will repair and maintain light and heavy equipment and plant equipment. The mechanic will perform routine preventive maintenance on conveyors and plant sorting equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mechanic will work on Heavy Equipment; main brand is Caterpillar
• Conduct routine maintenance and service on equipment.
• Evaluate equipment for needed repairs. Troubleshoot and isolate mechanical problems; implement corrective actions as appropriate
• Performs repair or preventive maintenance on facility equipment such as conveyors, plant sorting equipment
• Completes all paperwork associated with repairs, documenting parts usage and work order times.
• Weld and/or fabricate necessary parts for repair of equipment a plus
• Ensures shop areas are kept clean, dry and free from debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Able to work in all types of weather indoors and outdoors
• Must be willing to work overtime if needed.

MECHANIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 to 3 years performing heavy equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Must have own tools
• Minimum 1year experience welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools) required.
• Welding experience a plus.
• Experience in troubleshooting
• Strong Attention to detail
• Shift: Monday – Friday 6am-3:30pm and some Saturdays
• Flexible background check, possible 2nd chance opportunity
