Job Description :

1. Maintenance Manager Purpose:

1.1. Ensures that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose.

1.2. Directs and coordinates all activities of plant maintenance and provides proactive support/solutions to management.

1.3. Daily supervision of seven multi-skilled craft persons.

2. Essential Functions of Job:

2.1. Allocate workload and supervise maintenance technicians.

2.2. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.

2.3. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.

2.4. Monitor electrical and mechanical systems of facilities to ensure functionality.

2.5. Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.

2.6. Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities.

2.7. Forecast and manage department costs and budget.

2.8. Develops project and change management plans.

3. Skills Required for Job (for Training and Development):

3.1. Ability to read, analyze and interpret drawings and blueprints

3.2. Attention to detail.

3.3. Problem solving skills and ability to develop alternative solutions

3.4. Strong management skills. Encourages staff involvement in planning, decisions, process improvement.

3.5. Effective cost control skills. Works within approved budget and develops and implements cost saving measures.

3.6. Effective time management skills.

3.7. Professionalism. Ability to react well under pressure and exhibit sound judgement and fair treatment of employees.

4. Qualifications Required for Job:

4.1. 2+ years of experience in milling or packaging operations, or related and applicable activities preferred

4.2. High School graduate or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred

4.3. Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule required and Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
