Job Description:
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the Director of Human Resources at the School of Public Health. The incumbent coordinates HR transactions for the Dean’s office and supports the administrative departments. This position focuses on providing high level HR support serving as the Workday HR Coordinator, responsible for the application and oversight of daily HR business processes, and serves as a resource to staff. This position serves as the Workday subject matter expert to assist with HR processes. This position supports recruitment, management of personnel actions and record keeping for hires, terminations, leaves of absence, promotions, transfers, coordination of training and performance management. This position needs to be familiar with HR policies. This position is expected to be customer focused and responsive to requests as they arise.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree plus 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Competencies
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel, and email
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to organize, prioritize and follow through on multiple-deadlines.
  • Experience with Workday preferred, but not required
  • The ability to function effectively and in a busy setting and manage a large volume of data
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and show discretion when dealing with information of a sensitive nature
  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • The ability to work independently
  • Customer focused, learns quickly, accountable and resourceful.
  • Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment
