Job Description :

Green Mountain Union High School is looking for a Guidance Counselor for the remainder of the 2022-23 school year. This position will provide social emotional, academic, and career skills to high school students grades 9 – 12 The School Counselor shall serve as a consultant in order to provide professional expertise to assist faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and other community members to understand the interaction of individual behavior and human relationships. The counselor actively seeks, assembles, and interprets relevant information to these persons concerning the development and needs of students.Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing support to families and staff Advises students regarding academic, educational, career, and short term goals Provides brief counseling to address social and emotional concerns and appropriately refers students to behavioral health specialist.
