Job Description :

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Buyer/ Planner is responsible for reviewing the current inventory levels and placing orders accordingly. This is a salaried position working Monday – Friday From 8:00AM – 5:00PM.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consistently monitor and replenish inventory to ensure availability of goods
• Work with vendors to reduce inventories and increase inventory turns while not sacrificing deliveries to the customer
• Work with Product Mangers and Engineering groups
• Coordinate project status, orders and deliveries with Product Managers
• Prepare purchase orders
• Perform other quality assignments and duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak clearly and listen carefully
• The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time and type on keyboard

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in relevant Purchasing field
• Ability to read mechanical drawings required
• Previous experience in material management of industrial products preferred
• Excellent interpersonal relations and strong communication, organizational and time management skills required
• Well organized with ability to gather, interpret and proactively act on data with minimal supervision
• High sense of urgency with ability to work in a fast-paced team environment anticipating and adjusting to challenges
• Willing to work overtime as necessary
• Proficient at Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
